Advertising on Optom Forum

Optomforum is viewed mainly by optometrists who practice in Australia. This makes it a very targeted and niche audience.

Appropriate advertising would be from wholesalers and equipment suppliers, financial consultants, education providers, marketing consultants and business consultants.

Advertising on the forum and throughout all pages of the site is available through banner ads. The ads shown to each user change with every page view.

The advertiser is to supply banner ads of 468x60 and 728x90 in size. It is best to supply both sizes as this way they can be shown in more locations throughout the site.

The advertiser is to supply the URL to which the ad should link when clicked.

The price of advertising with banner ads is:
• $105 plus GST for three months.
• $192 plus GST for six months.
• $360 plus GST for twelve months.

Submitting Articles to Optomforum

Article submission is open to anyone with an article which may be of interest to the readership of this site.

The article may be included on this website at the discretion of the administrator. Article publication may be delayed to suit the needs of the website.

The article may be refused publication for any reason at the discretion of the website administratior.

The article may be displayed on the site indefinitely or removed from the site at any time at the discretion of the website administrator.

Your articles should;
• be 400 to 650 words in length
• be about some optical/health industry related topic you are knowledgable in, which will make people want to know more or to remember you as being a person of authority on that topic
• have a two sentence review of the author with a photo of the author
• not be openly a selling a product or service
• include one link to your website or other website of your choice
• avoid mentioning specific companies or organisations, but it is OK to have the author's business information in the review of the author

By submitting your article on our site, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use your article.

There is no fee for article submission.

Submitting Advertorials to Optomforum

Advertorials will be posted as Featured Articles for one month. Featured articles will have a link from the home page and the summary will be emailed to the Optom Forum members. After one month featured articles become normal articles. Normal articles must be found amongst other articles on the articles page.

Advertorials are to have
• Headline - not more than 10 words
• Introduction - not more that 25 words which may be used on the website home page
• Feature image (Thumbnail image size 317x222): Max file size 20kB - this is the image that may be shown of the home page page of the site as a link to your advertorial. It should not just be your company name or logo, but it may include your logo. The image should be a jpg or gif. Not animated gif.
• Advertorial Text: 400-650 Words.
• Links: can be used as needed within the article.
• Images: up to 4 images in the article not exceeding 300x300 in dimensions. No animation.
• Videos: one embeded youtube video is acceptable.

Advertorials will be labelled Sponsored Articles or something similar.

There will not be more than three advertorials in any calendar month.

The fee to publish an Advertorial is $200 plus GST.

Premium Listing in Directory

Premium Listings will include:
• Name of Company
• Web address link, phone number, facebook link
• Description of business and products - up to 50 words
• Company Logo

The fee for a premium directory listing is $75 per year plus GST.
